The Water Cycle song is a good way of remembering this process. Have a listen below.

WOW! What a day, a busy, fun and exciting day! Well done Room 9, you all looked amazing. So much effort had gone into the costumes and everyone looked fantastic (teachers included)! Nikaylah and Jonathan took out the prizes for best dressed in our class with my personal awards going to Breanna and Samuel, well done! Have a look at the pictures below and decide for yourself. I'm pretty happy with my 1st place for teacher costume (but don't tell the other teachers).

Inquiry

Over the next week the children are re-searching their own question for our Inquiry. They are learning how to read information, find key words and then write notes on what they have read. If you could find some time to research with your child, using their key question this would help out in class, as well as give you an insight into what we are learning. Many thanks, Miss Rooney

Persuasive Writing

At the moment we are learning how to write a persuasive argument. The topic we have just finished was "All Kids Should have Jobs". The children had to pick a side and persuade the audience to agree with them. Here are some of the fantastic ideas that the children came up with.
AGREE -
Children will get lots of money for their jobs and will not get bored when their jobs are done because they will be able to buy very cool toys. - Bowen H

Mum will have a clean house because I will be helping Mum clean. - John E

If your Dad has to go away for work in Australia and he doesn't have any spending money, you could lend him the money you earned working at your job. - Joshua K

We could buy whatever we wanted with the money and our Mums couldn't disagree! - Ben P

Children will be fit and healthy because they are always doing jobs. - Charlie M

DISAGREE
Firstly kids will be too tired after school. Secondly they will get no time to play! - Andrew G

Well done Room 9 writers, keep up the good work!
Miss Rooney

RYAN NELSEN VISITS OLA!

What a fantastic day we had today. Ryan Nelsen came to school and talked to us all in a special assembly. We then had time to play on a blow-up soccer pitch. Check out some of the photos. I especially like the one Ryan requested with me!
